The history of Blueman bikini started in the ‘70s when the founder of the brand, who arrived in Rio de Janeiro with his mother, who was a seamstress. To make for a living, he took the bikinis manufactured by his mother and sold them the beaches of Copacabana. Not only he sold what he had but also he received orders for almost 1500 bikini sets! This is how the brand started. David Azulay together with his brother Simon founded the bikini brand and named it Blueman. The materials used in bikini production were not very elastic, so they invented adjustable side ties. This move was a great breakthrough in the bikini world! Bikinis started to fit perfectly many feminine shapes and sized!
